I love Sunshine City. On the weekend it is crazy to go there as it is so busy, just looking at all the people makes me feel tired. I must visit all my regular haunts, including Moe Garden. Many characters which have been made into toys, stationery, books etc. are placed in this shop. Moe also produces a brilliant magazine called ‘Moe’ which has been instrumental and inspiring for my children’s books. Excuse the dreadful photos – indoor lighting isn’t my camera’s forte.
Spotted lots of owl things in Ikebukuro today. First a topiary group then an owl competition in Sunshine City.
In Tokyo Station there is a gorgeous little cafe with lots and lots of traditional toys in glass cabinets. It’s a little embarrassing trying to get photos while coffee drinkers are seated in front of them. But I must perservere and will return sometime in August.
